Ted Koppel: Living With Cancer

I just quickly want to mention that this extraordinary documentary will be re-shown tonight on the Discovery Channel. I just finished watching my recording, and I recommend it highly. One of the people highlighted is Koppel's friend Leroy Sievers, who keeps a popular blog on NPR, and produces weekly podcasts about his experience with the highs and lows of Stage 4 cancer. Lance Armstrong and Elizabeth Edwards join in the town hall meeting, along with representatives of patient advocate organizations, survivors, and their families.

If you visit Leroy's blog, be sure to read some of the multitude of comments, as they are fully as rich and touching as his own commentary.

There is also a Cancer Collage that is worth spending some time exploring. It an creative (searchable) presentation of thoughts via video, art, or words, by those whose lives are touched by cancer.
