Radiation: The Beginning

Yesterday was my first day of radiation, and it was a long session full of test filming, repositioning, and magic marker drawings all over my chest, side, and armpit. I had to lie still for the whole time, about 45 mins., which in itself spawns itches here and there that I can't scratch. I used my self-hypnosis to get through that, heh. When I got home I saw that I was already pink from the treatment.

Today was much faster, but they had to use the marker again because one of the photos didn't turn out. From now on it should be pretty much assembly-line style: line up the dots, ten second bursts twice, rotate the machine 180 degrees and two more ten second bursts. I get a special pass for my dashboard so I can park right in front of the facility if there's room. Today, even with the slight delay, it took only an hour from the time I left home until I returned home. Not bad.

So far I don't glow in the dark.
